The story so far . . .

Long ago, in the age of tape cassettes, Andi wrote a song that was once played on the radio. Since this time the writing has continued, through Bandits and lean years, until, with other like minds, he formed the Collective. Lauren took the lead, as it was obvious she must, and for a while they plied their trade of melodic pop in pubs, fields and church halls to anyone who would listen. Members came and went and gradually five became two and The Claves were born.

Purveyors of finely honed tunes, The Claves tell stories of one and many, combining eras and instruments to produce somehow familiar, yet different sounds. Some personal experience, some empathy and some frank guess work has resulted in their first anthology 'One Day or Another'.

Now slowly, very slowly, the word is beginning to spread . . .
